There was yet another delicious Food Surplus Café here this Wednesday. If you missed it the next one is on 21st September (and every 3rd Wednesday of the month).
Tomorrow’s weather forecast may promise rain but we promise to give you a taste of sunshine with our one ingredient banana ice cream (the one ingredient is bananas!). Come and try it in our Friday Cafe (9.30am – 4.30pm) and find out how to make it here (http://www.oneingredientchef.com/one-ingredient-ice-cream/) .
Then on Saturday we have the usual great range of brilliant local food and drink at the Saturday market – including the Lavender and Honey bread that proved so popular last week from Sandford’s own sourdough baker, Robert Rodriguez. We will also have our fantastic resident baker, Anne Pitson, joining us on a stall with a selection of sweet treats baked on site here today. Choose from blueberry muffins, lemon drizzle and madeira cake!
Saturday Market guest stalls:
Anne’s Cakes: Homemade cakes including blueberry muffins, lemon drizzle and madeira cake
Potter’s Pantry – Homemade jams and chutneys made with allotment produce
Threads and Stitches – Hand crafted lampshades and pillows
