It’s a packed out market this week. Over on our own general stall we shall have Rainbow Chard, Curly Kale, Golden Beetroot and lots more, including, at last, – what has been sorely missing from our veg stall the last couple of weeks – the humble potato! An extra addition this week too – pasties and sausage rolls from Sandford’s own Clive’s Pies.
Ally’s Kitchen is back. She will be bringing a wide range of brownies (including no gluten variety), dairy-free coconut tiffin, banana and walnut cake, toffee apple cake and sticky ginger cake. Special requests are always welcome and enquiries for special orders can be made by emailing .
Maria of Make Do Mend wanted to apologise and let you all know that she is unable to stay all morning on Saturday and has to leave at 10:30am. If you have any sewing jobs then be an early bird to catch the worm!
Over on the Porch Preserves stall this month’s additions to the wide range of flavours always on offer include four brand new recipes: the latest flavours of chutney are Apple and Parsnip (they say: it sounds crazy but it works!) and Apple, Melon and Mango; two new jams are Pineapple & Rhubarb and Strawberry Bonanza – mainly strawberry with added blackberry, blueberry and raspberry. After something spicy? Ian of Chillis 2 U is here with his sauces and marinades.
