We’ve got Clive’s cheese, potato & mushroom ‘sausage’ rolls at this week’s market along with some of his famous hand raised chicken & chorizo pies. Ally’s Kitchen has branched out with some new offerings including trifle that was very popular and flew off the table last week! She is doing another flavour for this Saturday as well as trying some new flavours of brownies – fudge brownies and after dinner mint brownies.

You can also come and talk to WI members Pauline Goddard and Lyn Coleman. They can help anyone interested set up a new WI in our village. Lyn says: “The WI has been inspiring women since 1915 when it set out to be a force for good in the community and to give women a voice. The same is true today. We look forward to meeting you.”

Finally, we are looking for more volunteers for the market and Friday café. Drop me a line if you would like to get involved. It’s a great team and we’d love to have you. And if you’ve not yet made it along to the Friday Café come and see us tomorrow (10am-2pm)  – there’s chilli bean soup with Robert’s sourdough on the menu for lunch plus Anne’s Apricot Sponge to go alongside your tea or coffee.
