Sandford Food Surplus Café
Cooking up surplus food from Oxford Food Bank as a team of volunteer cooks we will create delicious meals to offer on a ‘pay as you feel’ basis at a regular community meal. This is using food that would otherwise go to waste to offer a great deal on lunch here at Talking Shop. We are running a workshop on Monday 7th March, 11am-5pm, for those who would like to get involved and learn how to work ‘Ready Steady Cook’ style – you never know what you will get from the food bank until it arrives! We shall then have our first ever Sandford Food Surplus Café on Wednesday 23rd March. Café open: 12.30-2.30pm. Volunteers needed for shifts between 9.30am-3.30pm.
