Community share offer

Can you help us to raise £60,000 in the next 47 days? We need £60,000 to open up the community shop and cafe through the week. The money will pay first year salaries for vital staff and equipment to set up the shop. We’ve launched a community shares offer:
* the entry investment is £100
* your investment is withdrawable – you can apply to withdraw your money after 3 years
* UK taxpayers may be able to claim 50% tax relief on their investment

Our business plan and share offer document have been awarded the Community Shares Standard kite mark. They’re available to download on our website – CLICK HERE (http://www.sandfordtalkingshop.org/become-a-shareholder.html) . Abi is very happy to talk to people who have more questions, just email her on to arrange to meet.

This Saturday’s market

We are introducing two new exciting ranges to our weekly offer on Saturday. We will have Sandford Sourdough bread from resident and bread-maker extraordinaire, Robert Rodriguez. Come and find out about this nutritious and delicious type of bread – selling at well below the supermarket price – and read more about Robert’s bread on our blog (https://talkingshopsandford.wordpress.com/2016/01/21/introducing-sandford-sourdough/) .  We will also have SESI Refills back with us (remember their amazing food refill station at the Harvest Market last year?). They will be selling their good value, eco-friendly washing-up liquid and laundry liquid. Just buy a bottle for a few pence from us which you can then refill again and again from our general stall when you run out. We also want to know if you would like to buy dried foods from us, if so what, and whether you would like to help bring a food refill station to our market and shop. Chat to Rina and the team to find out more and give
your views.
