Do you have a favourite food that you buy at the market? If you had to choose what’s the one thing you would recommend to a friend? I would love to be able to share your comments on your favourite food that we sell. Drop me a line with 1. what it is, 2. why you like it, 3. your first name and 4. where you live. We will then make up labels which we can display on our stall.

A bit of an update following the brilliant Harvest Market last month. As a result of the nearly 100 feedback forms we had in we have decided to introduce the SESI refill station gradually from early next year for household detergents and wholefoods. On widening our meat range we are taking time to find the right supplier – we are still looking and I’ll keep you updated. In the meantime, if you did wish to order a turkey our nearest Butchers, Pills (http://www.jepillandsonsbutchers-online.co.uk/) over on the Leys, have free-range birds available for £10.49 per kilo from Caldecott Farm (http://www.caldecottfarms.co.uk/#!turkeys/cghg) . They can deliver on 23rd and 24th to Sandford with no delivery charge.

I’m sorry to announce that we will not have Duck’s eggs for a while – we think the birds are taking a break for the winter. We still have lots of lovely hens eggs though – and remember you save yourself 10p if you bring your own box.

Next Saturday 5th December is our Christmas Food Market. There will be Ally with her Christmas cakes, puddings and mincemeat; LAM Brewing with their brilliant beers; Homemade Tastes Greek deli; two great jam and chutney stalls and the Oxford Cheese Company with a big range for your festive cheeseboard. Lots of ideas there for under your tree and on your table.

Have a look below for what else we have on offer at this week’s market – including those wonderful Ashtrees vegetables. See you on Saturday!
