It’s a big day for Talking Shop this Saturday. After Clive did his first, very popular stint in the kitchen for the Sunday ‘Sandford Cafe and Tea Room’ last week (now open every Sunday from 11am – 4pm) our own volunteer café team are moving in! So this week you will be served your favourite bacon butties, coffees and pastries from Talking Shop’s own, purpose-built kitchen at the other end of the hall. Let us know how your find the new layout.
Homemade Tastes are coming to the market this week with their delicious moussaka, spinach pies, beans & chick peas & stuffed peppers. Most of their savoury dishes are vegetarian & gluten free. They are also bringing their fresh cakes for your coffee & lunchtime snacks. LAM Brewing is currently out of stock, so will not be at the market this week. They look forward to seeing you on 5th December.
On our own stall the new Bibijis curry sauces have been disappearing so fast we’ve already had to order more in. Make sure to give them a try for an easy midweek supper if you’ve not already. And another thing to remember is those egg boxes – bring your own and save yourself 10p per half dozen. That’s 10p which could be used for our Christmas Craft Market…coming up next Saturday with loads of festive gifts made by talented and creative people in the area.
And finally, Elaine & Anne of our monthly lunch club, Talking Lunch, are looking for new volunteers – so if you have an hour or so to spare the first Wednesday in the month contact Elaine as they always need more help to serve their Members. You are always welcome to have lunch as well for £5. Just let Elaine know beforehand (on 01865 395771 / firstname.lastname@example.org (mailto:email@example.com)so) they know how many to cook for.
Enjoy the market!
