Littlemore Recovery Group:
Littlemore Recovery Group is a new therapeutic project run by the local mental health charity Restore which helps people with serious mental health issues to get well and get work. Their staff and trained volunteers support patients from Littlemore Mental Health Centre to learn new skills and gain confidence. Together they run a small shop and café – both open to the community – where patients have the chance to gain useful work experience in catering, customer service and team work, all in a supportive and friendly environment.
The shop is open Monday – Friday, 9.30am – 3pm
The café is currently open Wednesday – Friday, 10am – 2pm

This is such a fantastic project to have on our doorstep. The shop and cafe are a very friendly spot and really convenient for Sandford and Littlemore. The Restore team have been hugely supportive of Talking Shop’s work to bring people together and we’re working in partnership to make sure that through the Restore shop & cafe and our planned Community Hub we provide some great resources for the area.
So let’s join Restore in celebrating their project’s opening. They’re doing a barbecue lunch at their great new cafe (attached to the shop on the Littlemore Hospital site), Wednesday 26th June from 10am to 2pm. Veggie and meaty options. Mel Geidrovc from the Great British Bake-Off will officially open the project at 12.30pm. Don’t miss it!
Restore are also currently recruiting a part-time Recovery Intern for Littlemore Recovery Group: http://www.restore.org.uk/get-involved/work-with-us/current-vacancies
