We raised over £4,300 at our Auction of Promises thanks to the time, ideas & generosity of many

Thank you to Becky Craven who yet again gave us her time completely free of charge (and in amongst all of the other jobs that she does). All of the profits from the food she cooked up for us go into the development fund (nearly £100).

Thanks to the Four Pillars Hotel who gave us their huge Oxford Suite for the evening and dressed it for us, tables in place, white table cloths, plates, cutlery, glasses, projector, PA system…then loaned us their team to help clear up at the end. Brilliant work. The full works, at no cost. Thank you.

Thanks to all of the donors and bidders We had over 50 lots for the auction, donated by local businesses and private individuals. We raised more than £4,300 through some very generous sometimes very entertaining bidding. Thanks must also go to Tom Fox, Chair of the Village Hall Committee who did a very good job of modelling one particular lot. Fantastic fundraising in just a few hours.

Thanks to the Talking Shop Team Lots of our team gave freely and willingly of their spare time again to make this event go so well. Colin and Prue Reynolds bravely threw themselves onto the podium and did a great job as our auctioneers. Pauline and Gina ran a brilliant bar. Hazel Cattell and Kate Heath baked up a fantastic array of cakes. Rich Butler built a slideshow of images to accompany the lots and masterfully ran the sweepstake. Sam, Rich, Julia, James, Hazel, Josh, David, Gina, Pauline, Abi Reynolds, Prue and Colin were great in setting up and packing away. Many more manfully ate, drank and bid happily in aid of a very good cause.

It was great fun. Thank you all very much.
