a message from Peter Lefort of Oxford’s Community Action Group Project

Sunday 21 October sees the welcome return of DinnerTime at a brand new venue! To coincide with Abundance Oxford’s Apple Day we will be running a community kitchen with added outdoor elements at Hogacre Common near Grandpont (there is also a pavilion in case of rain!).

If you haven’t been to a DinnerTime event yet, then this is a great chance to get involved! If you have, then come anyway, as there will be loads of other things going on from apple pressing and foraging walks to chutney and jam making workshops.

For those that don’t know how DinnerTime works, it’s a fantastic way to learn new skills, chat with like minded people and eat some amazing food. People bring food which they would otherwise throw out or never use (e.g. leftover veg, or those cans at the back of the cupboard you never get around to using), and we cook it all up together, creating a menu of delicious dishes. It’s all free, and a great way to try new and outrageous ideas!

Please reply if you are planning on coming, so we have a good idea of numbers, but you will be more than welcome to turn up on the day and enjoy the rest of the activities and the wonderful surroundings of Hogacre Common.

Let me know if you have any questions!

All the best

Peter (Peter.Lefort@resourcefutures.co.uk)
